Well lately it seems when it rains it pours, but I do believe there is sun behind these clouds......somewhere!!
I had to take off a couple of weeks on Lex due to her health issues and I must admit I was feeling a bit sorry for myself meaning I would have to miss a rodeo. My great friend RaNelle offered me her good horse, but after the last run she had on him there was no way I was mounting him. Its her turn to win the rodeo, she is the one who deserves it way more then me. Lucky my other great friend Molly allowed me to borrow her horse Kool for this weekend. See there is sun behind those clouds ;-)
Luckily she brought him out for me on Tuesday so I have gotten a few chances to ride him and I must admit he feels pretty darn good! I am really looking forward to making a run him.
Its dumped now 3 inches of rain on us in 24hrs, we are a flood zone I swear. Some of my nice grass pens are now under about 2ft of water... ohh the joys! By the looks of it this is going to put a damper (pardon the pun) on my training.
I plan on bringing Parker along to Bottineau to exhibition, he needs to get hauled and Roughrider Rodeos are the perfect opportunity to get him going.
My quote for this blog is suiting I think, because I do believe I found my sunshine this week!!
"In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity."
